If you haven’t heard the news yet, then you’ve been living under a proverbial rock, haha! Comic Con Asia has recently confirmed that they’re bringing in Stan Lee, aka the father of Marvel Comics, to the Philippines this March 2018. But what else do they have in store for you? 🙂
At a recently held press con, the event organizers announced their initial line-up of guests and activities for the upcoming convention. The event will be held this March 24-25, 2018 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
The con will feature the following Hollywood guests: Stan “The Man” Lee, NBA Superstar Ray Allen, and the original Black Ranger, Walter Jones and cosplay names such as Chad Hoku of Hoku Props, Linda Le (Vampy Bit Me), Nana Kuronoma, and Anna Redei (Enji Night).
They will also be holding a bunch of various workshops in artistry, creatives, cosplay, etc. spearheaded by both Filipino and international talents who are all forerunners in their industries.
Tickets will be available by January 25, 2018 and are priced at Php 800 for a one-day pass and Php 1,300 for a two-day pass. These passes include all access to the venue and workshops but will not include meet & greet fees or merchandise.
What do you think? Honestly, I’m still quite a bit skeptical. The line-up is very strong on paper but it really is up to the organizers to bring this convention to life and to fulfill the promises they’ve made to their fans. At the moment, I’m just taking everything with a grain of salt and reporting what they’ve announced officially so far. 🙂
