OMGluie Beauty Review: ColourPOP Aug 2017 Haul

Here we go again! I pretty much have obsessed over ColourPOP the past year and now I’ve branched out to products beyond their lippies! Check out what I hauled from ColourPOP Cosmetics last August 2017!

When my parents went to the US for a couple weeks last August, I took advantage of them and asked them to bring home some stuff I’ve been eye-ing from my current favorite American brand, haha!

First up is The Knockout ($16.00):

It’s a pressed powder face duo combination that comes with a blush and highlighter in one palette! A lot of people have been raving about the brand’s pressed powders so I decided to bite the bullet and get a two-for-one product. Also, I’ve been dying to try the highlighter trend and I figured something more neutral-toned and peach in color would do well with my skin tone, haha!

Here are the swatches:

L: Excuse My French: matte blush; soft peach R: Like to Watch: pearlized highlighter; peach with a duochorome gold flip

The below photo shows the blush on my cheeks. I like how it’s very subtle on my skin tone, which is perfect for a natural peach-y flush! Though if I do add more pigment, it CAN pass for a nice summer bronzer, lol!

Here is the highlight on top of the blush:

The highlight is very golden-yellow in color. It doesn’t show up that well in photos but it is BLINDING in person! LOL. Maybe it’s time to invest in a beauty light, haha!

To be honest, I was a little let down by this palette. Maybe I was expecting to be wow-ed by the blush and highlight. They’re very good products but I think because my skin tone has yellow undertones, the pigment doesn’t show up that well, haha! In hindsight, I think I should’ve gotten their other palette instead, LOL.

Another product I decided to give a go was their Brow Boss Pencil in Bangin’ Brunette ($5.00):

According to the site it is a “micro-tip precision and a long-wearing formula for sculpted definition in one little pencil.”

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product! It’s so easy to use! It’s a twist-up kind of automatic brow pencil! The product is creamy, easy to blend, and it doesn’t create super dark, harsh lines when you use it! I love using this when I want extra defined or darker brows! Totally would purchase again and again, haha!

AND NOW, we go back to my ultimate faves, their Ultra Satin Lips! Yum yum yum! <3

The whole reason I did this ColourPOP haul was because they had a buy two-get-one free for their lip products. I was looking for a perfect red Ultra Satin Lip for my Ariel cosplay and got robbed by their sale, HAHAHAHA.

I purchased two shades (Lost and Darling, the Karrueche x ColourPOP collab) and got Dopey for free! Swatches and product photos below:

L-R: Darling, Lost, and Dopey

Let’s take a closer look at the products and what they look like on my lips! <3

ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Dopey ($6.00): “Mauve with a Purple Undertone”

Does this look mauve to you? It does have that slightly purple undertone but it just looks really pink on my skin, haha! Since I got this product for free, I ain’t complaining! Not my favorite of the batch but a good choice for everyday wear, I think! 🙂

ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Lost ($6.00): “Warm Red Brown”

OMG. I am in love with this red! <3 Just look at that pop of color! Huhu! It was the perfect shade to match my Ariel cosplay, gossshhhhh. I totally don’t regret this and will definitely wear this for events or occasions where I want a bright lip!

And last but not least is the ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Darling ($6.00): “A Deep Plum”

I don’t know about y’all but I’ve noticed a trend in the lip colors that I choose. Haha, this reminds me of their Toolips shade but more plum in color! I really like this too and the gorgeous rose gold accent and packaging makes this my favorite purchase in this haul! Haha!

So there you have it! Whew! ColourPOP JUST came out with their new concealers, Fall 2017 collection, and new brow products! UGH, monies, I need you. ;A;
