Philippine GameDev Expo – Top Things I’m Looking Forward To

Hey everyone! The Philippine GameDev Expo is happening this weekend, and I wanted to share with you the top things I’m looking forward to at the event. There’s a lot to go over, so let’s go!

Philippine GameDev Expo – Guest Speakers & Panels

One of the things that I’m looking forward to the most at the first-ever Philippine GameDev Expo is the huge number of guest speakers and panels that the event will be hosting.

From indie game studios, tech companies, web3 projects, and gaming startups, there seems to be a lot to learn from the industry’s representatives. So, if you’re looking to learn more about game development, tech, and even the crypto space, be sure to check out the main stage of the event. I’m sure you’ll find something you’ve never heard of before. 🙂

Game Exhibits & Booths

Whenever I go to events, I always like going around the convention center and checking out the booths on display. It’s interesting to see what companies have decided to be part of the con, and I like knowing if there’s anything new that they have to offer.

PGDX has a whole lineup of brand exhibitors participating in the event, so I caution you guys to hold onto your wallets. Some of these brands will probably offer products with discounts, so I’m sure you’ll end up buying something, too. Of course, this advice is applicable also to me, since I like to shop. HAHAHAHA.

Philippine GameDev Expo Indie Game Scene

PGDX indie games

As someone who is very fond of indie games, I’m really excited to check out what the local indie game scene has to offer. I’m looking forward to trying out demos and chatting with indie game creators because I really, truly admire how they are able to set aside their own time create their own video games. That’s really the dream for me, haha!

Anyway, as you can see from the image above, there is a LOT of participants in the event’s indie game area, so that is very exciting!

Buying Stickers & Merch at Sticky Expo

Philippine GameDev Expo also partnered with a sticker event called Sticky Expo, and I am hoping to spend some cash on more stickers that I will never use. HAHAHA!

I know it’s not related to game development in any way, but I thought having something that’s more art-related would be a welcome break from all the game stuff going on in the convention floor, hehe! XD

Anyway, be sure to check out the event and purchase your tickets for this weekend at their official website. I hope to see you there! 🙂
