United Gamers Guild Hosts Axie Tourney To Help Typhoon Odette Victims

Though the PH gaming community is sometimes known for how toxic it can get, there is also no comparison to the hospitality of the Filipinos. Recently, United Gamers Guild or UGG held a massive Axie Infinity tournament, with some of the biggest streamers in the Philippines, to help those affected by the recent Typhoon Odette.

These kinds of events really warm my heart, and I’m happy to share that the event raised 33, 495 Stars, which were donated to Youth Movement Initiative.

What Is United Gamers Guild?

I’m sure that everyone is quite confused as to why guilds that used to be big parts of our online gaming lives have suddenly popped up in real-life. I AM, TOO! LOL. Anyway, United Gamers Guild, or UGG, is one of the newest and fastest-rising gamer guilds in the Philippines.

UGG is a blockchain gaming DAO (or Decentralized Autonomous Organization) whose aim is to educate, engage and empower gamers worldwide to become active community members of different block chain games. The org will have an Esports Infrastructure for different block chain games, an education and entertainment media portal, and community-centric events to help grow their established community.

The prize involved 1000 AXS and the right to crown themselves the first-ever United Gamer’s Guild All-Stars Tournament Grand Champion.

A total of 32 streamers and content creators participated in the tourney, including AremzyTV, Chippu, Don Panda, Fifi, Gudz, Inzai, Ninyoww, Overxyze, Lex Aeterna, Pattie, Ruthless, Toothless, Ninong Nokz and more.

“We have a dream with UGG, we wanted to be able to give back to the community. We want to help the players who play games on a casual daily basis be able to earn and benefit from their happiness and passion for being a gamer,” said Phillip Sebastian, CEO of United Gamers Guild.
