Teased by the brand for a while, the DJI Mic Mini 2S has just been launched in the Philippines. It has new features that make it a great option for those who want more from their mini microphones when it comes to advanced content creation.
Here’s the OMGluie review. 🙂
The DJI Mic Mini 2S Now Has 32-Bit Float Internal Recording

One of the best features of the DJI Mic Mini 2S is that the transmitter now has 14.5GB of internal storage and is capable of 32-bit float internal recording.
This means you have access to a more dynamic audio range when editing, plus you have the options to separate audio files between the camera and microphone that you’re using when filming.
What’s great about this is that the likelihood of losing audio files is lower, which is great for content creators who often leave home and focus on covering events.
Four Transmitters, One Receiver

The new DJI Mic Mini 2S receiver can now connect to up to four transmitters, allowing four different channels of audio recording.
This means that with just one receiver, a user can connect up to four different, compatible microphones. This is ideal for those who love hosting interviews or multiple-person podcasts.
Giving content creators the option to connect and record up through four different channels make it easier to splice and mix audio tracks in post-production.

The DJI Mic Mini 2S receiver is compatible with up to three generations of DJI mini microphones, namely the DJI Mic Mini, DJI Mic Mini 2, and DJI Mic Mini 2S.
On the other hand, the mobile receiver, albeit only able to connect to two transmitters, is also compatible with the DJI Mic 2 / 3. So, keep this in mind if you’re purchasing the bundle with the four-channel receiver or the one with the mobile receiver. 🙂
New Audio and Recording Options with DJI Mic Mini 2S

Aside from the 32-bit float internal recording, the DJI Mic Mini 2S also has a new Adaptive Gain Control feature. It comes with two options – Clipping Control and Loudness Balance, with Clipping Control automatically enabled.
When recording or filming in loud or outdoor settings, these options help prevent distortion and maintain a consistent volume level by automatically lowering or adjusting gain.
The DJI Mic Mini 2S’s noise cancellation feature has two levels like the Mic Mini 2 but is now supported by AI, for smarter ANC. You can also choose between three different voice tone presets, which is not new, but still nice to have.
Fits Well with the DJI Ecosystem

If you already have several devices from the DJI brand, the Mic Mini 2S will fit well with your current setup.
You don’t need a receiver to automatically connect via the DJI OsmoAudio feature, which works with devices such as the Osmo Nano, Osmo 360, Osmo Action 6, and Osmo Pocket 3.

And in terms of form factor – save for the refreshed face plate, which now has a more embossed DJI logo that is highlighted by magnetic covers, and the new physical record button, the DJI Mic Mini 2 retains the familiar shape and size of its predecessor.
DJI Mic Mini 2S Final Thoughts and Experience

As a content creator who constantly leaves home and covers events, the DJI Mic Mini 2S offering the option of internal recording is already a big plus.
I am also very familiar with the DJI ecosystem, especially since I’ve used the Osmo Pocket 3 since 2024 and have now upgraded to the Pocket 4 this year. So, connecting the mic to my vlogging setup was easy and convenient.
I have to admit that I’ve yet to fully utilize the audio and recording options like the AI noise cancellation, Adaptive Gain Control, and voice tone presets. But this is because the mic’s default settings already worked for me, and I didn’t feel the need to tweak too much until post-production, haha!

Anyway, prices for the DJI Mic Mini 2S depends on the following packages and bundles:
- DJI Mic Mini 2S (2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case) – Php 9,990 | Around $164 USD
- DJI Mic Mini 2S (1 TX + 1 Mobile RX + Charging Case) – Php 5,700 | Around $94 USD
- DJI Mic Mini 2S (1 TX + 1 RX) – Php 5,700 | Around $94 USD
- DJI Mic Mini 2S Transmitter – Php 3,790 | Around $63 USD
The complete bundle seems a bit too much for a solo content creator, but it might fit the needs of those who need more advanced audio recording solutions.
For me, I think the bundle with single transmitter and the mobile receiver is just perfect, haha! Anyway, let me know what you think! Follow the DJI official channels to know more.
