Dune: Awakening Pushes Launch to June 10

It seems Dune: Awakening isn’t as ripe as I thought, with the title pushing back its launch to June 10, 2025.

Dune: Awakening Release Moves to June 10

The survival MMO was initially meant to launch this May 20, 2025. However, after getting feedback from beta testers during its Persistent Closed Beta, Funcom has decided that Dune: Awakening needs more “time to cook.”

“As such, we will be moving the release date of Dune: Awakening to June 10th, with head start launching on June 5th. This is not a decision we take lightly, we know everyone is very excited to get playing, but these three extra weeks will give us the time needed to make improvements that will lead to a better gameplay experience from day one.”

IMHO, I’m not that upset about the delay. This just means that the devs are taking time to address issues and ensure the title will be everything that its fans hope it will be when it launches. 🙂

Combat & Social Feature Livestream

And now that we have that info out there, if you’re feeling a little FOMO, be sure to check out the latest live stream where we get snippets about Dune: Awakening’s combat, server/world structure, and social features.

Until then, I’m waiting in anticipation with you all, haha! Visit the official site to get more updates. 🙂
