Ghost of Yotei Announces Release Date for PlayStation 5

We now know the release date for the upcoming action-adventure title Ghost of Yotei! Sucker Punch Productions has also released a new trailer to reveal the story of the main character, so let’s find out more!

Ghost of Yotei Launches October 2 on PS5

The official release date of Ghost of Yotei for the PlayStation 5 is October 2, 2025.

The game is set 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima, in the land of Ezo, which is now known as Hokkaido. The main character, Atsu, sets out for revenge after a gang called the Yōtei Six takes everything from her.

Like its predecessor, you’ll take control of the protagonist as she hunts down the gang of outlaws using various weapons and skills. Beautiful scenery, heart-breaking cutscenes, and intense fights should also be expected in this game.

Preorder Content & Game Editions Available

To prep for launch, Sucker Punch Productions has also revealed available preorder content and different game editions that interested gamers can purchase. As seen in the above image, preordering the game will reward you with a unique in-game mask and seven PSN avatars featuring Atsu and the Yōtei Six at launch.

The Standard Edition of the Game will cost Php 3,490, whether you purchase a physical or digital edition. While a Digital Deluxe Edition (no Php price as of now, but will be around SGD 107 according to the release) will reward you with a digital version of the game, The Snake’s armor set, alternate dye for your starting armor, a unique horse color and saddle dye, an in-game Charm, gold Sword Kit, and an early unlock of Traveler’s Maps.

And finally, the Collector’s Edition (price to follow) comes with all the bells and whistles. Besides the preorder rewards and the Digital Deluxe Edition bonuses, it also comes with physical items such as a replica display edition of Atsu’s Ghost Mask, a replica of Atsu’s sash, a Tsuba replica from Atsu’s katana, and a pouch of coins and instructions to play Zeni Hajiki. There’s also a foldable papercraft gingko tree and art cards. That is a LOT!

Preorders for the Collector’s Edition start May 2, 2025, but you can already wishlist the game on the PlayStation Store. 🙂
