A new contender for streaming mics is entering the scene! Say hello to the new SteelSeries Alias Series microphones, powered by Sonar for Streamers!
Let’s talk about the details, price range, and availability in the Philippines in this feature! 🙂
Get to know the SteelSeries Alias Series Microphones
Born from the constant need of streamers to have the best mic quality for their content, worldwide leader in gaming and esports peripherals SteelSeries decided it was time for the brand to get into the desk microphone scene.
The Alias microphones feature a custom-built 1” condenser capsule that’s 3x the size of standard microphone capsules. Combined with its custom-built shock mount, it offers a streamlined set-up for gamers and content creators that are a bit OC about how their desk looks.
Powered by Sonar for Streamers, this turbo engine was specifically designed for the Alias microphone chassis and is a free studio-grade software suite that provides gamers with an all-in-one sound studio. It is compatible with your typical streaming software like OBS, Streamlabs, and etc., and uses CPU rather than GPU processing to avoid frame rate drops.
There are two products in the SteelSeries Alias mic line-up – the SteelSeries Alias and Alias Pro.
The Alias is a 24bit/48kHz broadcast-quality microphone with a 5-stage LED indicator that switches to a prominent red “X” when streamers are accidentally on mute. This 5-stage LED also has 16.8M RGB colors to personalize a content creator’s desk set-up. The mic is easy to use due to its USB connectivity, and gamers can control input gain, mute, adjust headphone volume, and plug in a Nova series headset with a 3.5mm cable.
As for the SteelSeries Alias Pro mic, it is a broadcast-quality XLR microphone that delivers clear and powerful 24bit/48kHz audio. It comes with a professional-level command station, the XLR Stream Mixer, which can support dual PC streaming for content creators. The Alias Pro also has a Drag ‘n’ Drop Audio Routing feature, where streamers can easily route and mix up to five audio channels and adjust them accordingly.
“For many, gaming isn’t just a pastime, it’s a passion and a lifestyle, so having the very best peripherals fills a need to make the experience amazing every time,” said Ehtisham Rabbani, SteelSeries CEO. “For decades, SteelSeries has been as passionate about bringing innovative, best-in-class products to the market as gamers are about gaming itself. With the launch of our Alias microphones powered by Sonar for Streamers, we are empowering current gamers, streamers, and content creators, and enabling future generations to create great streams and content for years to come.”
