Overwatch Rush Soft Launch is Coming to the Philippines!

A Blizzard Entertainment mobile title is heading to the Philippines for its soft launch. Overwatch Rush will be playable in the country, and other Southeast Asian countries, soon.

According to Blizzard, the Overwatch Rush soft launch will start on August 31, 2026. The mobile title will be made live first in Indonesia, then Malaysia, and then the Philippines in the days that follow.

No news about pre-registration on iOS or Android platforms have been revealed yet.

What to Expect from the Soft Launch

The soft launch promises a few key features and improvements since the last update from the devs. These include the following:

  • New Hero Progression System:Overwatch Rush introduces Hero Levels, letting players earn progression currencies through gameplay and invest them in individual Heroes to customize growth and experiment with different loadouts.
  • New & Updated Heroes: Brigitte joins as a new Vanguard redesigned for the top-down format, while Lúcio receives an update bringing his abilities closer to his classic Overwatch identity. The soft launch also features Tracer, Reinhardt, Soldier: 76, Reaper, Kiriko, Pharah, and Mercy.
  • New Maps & Modes: Three Rush-specific maps, Narwhal Cove (Gibraltar), Hydronet Gardens (Cairo), and Mansión Portero (Dorado), debut alongside Duo Free for All, featuring three competing duos, and 3v3 Control, a faster, smaller-scale objective mode.
  • Gameplay & Monetization Updates: Player feedback has driven a redesigned tutorial, optional aim assist, a new “Group Up” ping, and improved ally health/Ultimate indicators. Two optional bundles are also being introduced, while progression remains designed so that player skill ultimately defines match outcomes.
