Tokyo Game Show this year was just so busy, I didn’t have a lot of time to run around the merch hall. BUT, I spotted the Secretlab booth in Hall 9, and was happy to see the Monster Hunter gaming chairs in person!
Zinogre and Rathalos in Secretlab TITAN Evo Collection
I got a first-hand look and feel (sit?) of the Zinogre and Rathalos gaming chairs from Secretlab‘s TITAN Evo Collection.
These were actually already released some time ago, but since the brand doesn’t have a physical store in the Philippines, this is the first time I got to see them IRL.
I have to say, the attention to detail is amazing. From the iconic monster logos on the seat, to the embroidery and texture details found around the chair, these are really meant for the hardcore fans.
And what’s great about this Secretlab x Monster Hunter collab is that they used different materials to reflect each monster’s well-known features. Red leatherette is used to recreate the Rathalos’ scales, while Zinogre’s electric hide is inspiration when the brand used Secretlab SoftWeave® Plus Fabric for the upholstery.
Other monsters in the collection that get the same treatment include Arkveld and Fatalis – which to be honest, I think I would die to have seen in person. … I honestly think the Arkveld color scheme is genuinely OMGluie-coded, hehe!
Coming to the Philippines Soon?
Like I said, Secretlab doesn’t have a physical store in the Philippines… yet. You CAN purchase limited pieces from the brand’s lineup via Shopee or Lazada, but I haven’t had the chance to buy one yet.
I really hope they bring some of these pieces into the country, especially that Arkveld one. HAHA! Seriously though, Secretlab has a lot of other gaming chairs from different gaming franchises, so I’m sure they will be a hit across a lot of communities.
