2019 is the 18th year of Toycon PH and boy, does time fly when you’re having fun! The 3-day convention is happening over the weekend and we’ve got some details that may make you want to set aside your time (and wallet!) for one of the biggest toy conventions in the Philippines!
Toycon 2019 Exclusive Toys & Merch
Toycon PH will be having exclusive figures and merchandise that you can only get during the event!
The Zeta Manila Killa PH Colorway, designed and created by Quiccs Maiquez, who was awarded Toy Designer of the Year and Toy of the Year in the recently held Designer Toy Awards in New York City is the flagship Toycon PH exclusive!
What’s more, the crowd favorite and much-anticipated Jollibee Flocked variant Funko Pop will also exclusively be distributed by the Funko Funatics Philippines during the event this year.
To be more close to home, Filipino-inspired exclusive such as Tiny Ghost by Bim Toy & Dino by Ziqi Toys will be available during the event. AND the first release of the Batman Imperial Palace warrior vinyl toy by Mindstyle can also be found in Toycon 2019!
Toycon 2019 Celebrity Guests
Almost every convention in the Philippines brings over a line-up of international celebrities and guests to bring in the geek crowd. Toycon PH has the following line-up for this year.
From the hit TV series, Game of Thrones, we’ll be seeing Michael Cudlitz and Steven Ogg. The latter was also a voice talent for the popular game, Grand Theft Auto.
Also, through their partnership with Pop Life Global, we should expect to see some other guests from Pirates of the Caribbean, Power Rangers, Superman and X-Men, and other great franchises.
Toycon 2019 Comic Book Artists
Toycon PH 2019 will also have a slew of comic book artists, so fans who want to have some art commissioned or comic books signed, this is definitely your chance!
The line-up of comic artists are as follows: Steve Gan, Pol Medina Jr., Harvey Tolibao, Miguel Mercado, Heubert Khan Michael, Ed Tadeo, Berlin Manalaysay, Raymund Bermudez, and Raymund Lee.
We’ll also see Ravelo Komiks make an appearance with lifesize figures of their most popular superheroes such as Darna, Lastikman, and Captain Barbell!
