YEEEHEEESSS. ALL THINGS GAMING! So expect top of the line PC and console exhibits, mobile publishers, new game introductions, even the biggest names in the industry will be there! Bandai Namco Entertainment will be hosting the very first Tekken 7 tournament Philippine Qualifiers for a spot in the King of the Iron Fist Tournament 2016. Sony PlayStation, Capcom and Ubisoft will be featuring some of their new titles for 2016 and 2017 and a playing area for attendees to try out the demos. Super Evil Megacorp will also be hosting a tournament for their hit game Vainglory while MSI will be hosting a rig modders competition to showcase some of the best PC rig mods created by the rig modder community.

Meet Castlevania’s Koji Igarashi

Koji Igarashi, or better known as IGA, is set to  showcase his upcoming game project Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Igarashi is better known as the assistant director of the famous PlayStation game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and producer to the succeeding Castlevania games starting with Castlevania Chronicles up to Castlevania: Harmony of Despair. Igarashi launched a crowd-sourcing campaign for Bloodstained last year and it became the second most funded Kickstarter project for video games.

Choose Your Fighting Game with Brawl Fest

Two of the major attractions in ESGS will be making its return, one of them is the compilation of the country’s biggest fighting game communities (Cosmic Gorgons, Imperium, Pinoy PlayStation and Playbook) where they will be hosting a series of fighting game tournaments including Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat XL, Super Smash Bros., The King of Fighters XIV, Gundam Extreme Vs. Full Boost and many more.

Two-Times the Fun with Two Cosplay Activities

Of course, let’s not forget the ever-important cosplay competition. I won’t be cosplaying this time because I’ll be covering the event as media (yaaaaay, so happy) but check out the amazing costumes in the summit! There will be two cosplay activities: A costrip activity will be happening on the Saturday event where lucky cosplayers roaming around the event area will be featured and win a prize while on Sunday, the cosplay competition will showcase some of the best cosplayers on stage for a chance to bring home PhP 15,000 cash prize. The cosplay activities will be handled by Anime Alliance.

Those are the major highlights for me for ESGS 2016! They also promise an Indie Arena and Gamefest, which will showcase some of the up and coming game publishers from our very own country and focuses on the growth of the local gaming landscape. 🙂

Get your tickets right now at any SM Ticket outlets nationwide, Day 1 will be priced at PhP 140 while Days 2 and 3 will be at PhP 165. The E-Sports and Gaming Summit 2016 will be on October 28 to 30, 2016 at Function Halls 1-3, SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia compound, Pasay City.
