Evo is coming to Southeast Asia for the first time. The Evolution Championship Series, the largest and longest-running open-invite fighting game festival, is holding its inaugural Evo Singapore in said country this 2027.
Five Titles, One Prize Pool
The Evo Singapore main lineup runs five games, all playing for a minimum guaranteed prize pool of US$125,000:
- Street Fighter 6 (Capcom)
- TEKKEN 8 (Bandai Namco Entertainment)
- MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls (Sony Interactive Entertainment)
- Guilty Gear -Strive- (Arc System Works)
- Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (Cygames)
The TEKKEN World Tour 2026 Global Finals will also be held during the event. The season’s highest-scoring TEKKEN 8 players will compete for a whopping US$300,000 prize pool.
The Global Finals run alongside the weekend, with group stages on January 14 and 15, the Last Chance Qualifier on January 16, and the Final Bracket on January 17.
More than Just Evo Singapore
The weekend is more than the main stage. There will be an Evo Museum with a new History of TEKKEN World Tour exhibit, flash tournaments for legacy titles, the Evo Friday Night Showdown presented by Visa, player and developer meet-and-greets, casuals, an arcade zone, a cosplay exhibition, vendors and merch, and BYOC space for community-run tournaments.
“Singapore has a vibrant history with fighting games; including producing Evo champion Xian, former world tour qualifier events like Southeast Asia Major, and hosting offices for multiple fighting game publishers,” said Rick Thiher, General Manager for Evo.
