Before we get down to it, I want to apologize for this uber-mega post because I’m here to talk about the many things that have happened or are happening with two of the most popular places to get your favorite gadgets, Beyond the Box and Digital Walker. So without further ado, here are some of their May-happenings!
1. Box Talks – Strokes and Sketches with David Bonifacio
Beyond the Box recently held the third installment of their Box Talks workshops with Managing Director of New Leaf Ventures, David Bonifacio. Although I’m not much of an artist, it was quite an interesting experience because I got to surround myself with all sorts of artsy people. 🙂
David is a digital art enthusiast himself and he gave a few pointers on how everybody, EVEN ME OMG, can create digital art. But the kicker here for me was to just be able to bask in the presence of great creative minds, haha! I was able to hang out with one of my cosplay friends, Myke Dela Paz, who showed off his sketching skills. LOL. The man is genius, haha!
2. Beyond the Box Featured Product of the Month – Evo Endurance Charging Case

It’s sturdy, virtually weightless, and super-cool looking so it’s pretty much the perfect accessory for when you feel like popping out for a breather to watch your favorite TV series episodes hands-free.

4. Beyond the Box and Summer Komikon 2106
To celebrate creativity in technology, Beyond the Box also hosted a booth at this year’s Summer Komikon! They wanted to give aspiring artists and Filipino comics fans a taste of what technology can do for their creative work.
The booth actually had tutorial in using the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil for sketching and those who visited the booth got caricatures of themselves drawn by famous comic and pop art artists such as Keeshia Felipe, Rob Cham, Peterich Chiu Wan, and Maui Borromeo.
All in all, it seemed like quite the eventful month of May for Beyond the Box and Digital Walker but May isn’t over yet so do watch out for more activities and news from our favorite gadget resellers! Yay!
