Two new devices to play around with have arrived in the Philippines! Say hello to the Instax Pal 2 and the Instax Link WIDE 2.

Instax Pal 2 – Features & Price
I really like the look and feel of the new Instax Pal 2. A follow-up to the original tiny digital camera from 2023, it has tactile buttons, dials, a lever and viewfinder, plus a 1.3-inch LCD screen!
You can choose between different effects, photo formats like No Frame, mini, SQUARE, and WIDE, and connect it via Bluetooth or USB Type-C. The internal storage lets you keep up to 100 photos, but it has room for more storage with its microSD slot.
Here are some important technical specs:
- Sensor – 1/3.06-inch CMOS, shooting at 10MP or 1MP.
- Lens – 28mm equivalent, F2.2, focusing from 8cm.
- Sensitivity – ISO 100 to 1600, automatic.
- Flash – About 60cm to 1.5m of range.
- Self-timer – 10 seconds or 2 seconds.
It comes in Black or White and is locally priced at Php 10,599.
Instax Link WIDE 2 – Features & Price
The Link WIDE 2 is the printer of the pair and can print photos even without an Instax camera. It uses the WIDE film format, prints in seconds, and connects to its own app.
Here are some key features:
- Print modes and frames – Change how a photo looks before it comes out.
- QR codes – A print can carry a scannable code holding a message or a location.
- Photo Mixer – Builds postcard-style collages for scrapbooking, and you can remix the layout up to five times.
- Film – Instax WIDE instant film, which is sold separately.
- Print size – 62mm x 99mm.
It weighs 357g, charges in roughly 1.5 to 2 hours, and the Link WIDE 2 comes in Duo Beige or Duo Blue. It’s priced at Php 10,999 here in the Philippines.
