Tokyo Game Show 2026 wouldn’t be complete without the Bandai Namco Entertainment booth!
We got to play a demo of Gundam Rogue Orbit, and take a look around the booth and other games that were playable there! 🙂
Gundam Rogue Orbit Demo at Tokyo Game Show 2026
When Bandai Namco told me they were having the first-ever playable demo of Gundam Rogue Orbit available during TGS, I had to sign up for it! I am very excited for this game, as a Gundam girlie, haha!
Though the demo only had one mission available, you could choose between three different mobile suits. Combat already feels incredibly satisfying, because you can choose to brutally take down aliens using melee or ranged weapons.
Hack and slash or pew pew kachew? Yes? Yes! I do have some issues with the momentum, moving around can feel a little draggy, and enemy population is still pretty low. So there isn’t a lot to destroy yet in the demo… No, I’m not a war freak. But anyway.
Visuals are top-notch! It really has the whole Gundam ace pilot vibes I’m looking for. I’m just sad that there’s no customization available in the demo yet. But let’s be real, if it was avaiable, I’d spend the allotted time just making my mobile suit OMGluie-coded. HAHA.
Definitely a game to watch out for, coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 this March 5, 2027. You can also take a look at my demo experience below:
The Bandai Namco Entertainment Booth Tour
I didn’t get to try any of the other game demos at the Bandai Namco booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026, but we did take a bit of time looking around.
Some of the other playable demos included Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, and ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet. The most notable set up would probably be the Gundam Rogue Orbit section, just because they had a special demo area where you could sit in a make-believe cockpit, hehe!
Also, I really wanted to try out the One Piece game, but we were really pressed for time. Hopefully we get to visit their booth again next year! 🙂
