The launch date of the highly-anticipated Monster Hunter Stories has been announced recently, with its release to happen in Japan on October 2016. Read on to find out the actual date, the latest trailer, and the first look at the Amiibo figures that will be released along with the game.
The Monster Hunter Stories game will be released for the Nintendo 3DS and will focus more on the Hunter and the relationships that can be built with some of the friendly monsters in the MonHun universe.
The idea reminds me of Monster Rancher and I’m hoping that it’s going to be the modern successor of that classic game. Anyway, here’s the latest trailer:
Amiibo figures will also be made available for those who find themselves good fans of the game. These feature the male and female protagonists (your choice) riding on top of a One-Eyed Rathalos.
There’s also Nabiru, the Felyne that pops up in the story. It’s also been announced that a second set of Amiibo figures will be released by Winter of 2016.
Monster Hunter Stories will be released in Japan on the 8th of October, 2016. There’s no news yet on whether there will be an NA release but I’m crossing my fingers.
My interest is quite piqued and it would be nice to see some of the ferocious monsters I’ve been fighting tooth and nail with in the MonHun universe look cutesy and tame-able. Also, who wouldn’t want to be friends with a wyvern, really? :))
