Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance Reveals New Elder Dragon Gundoraja
We finally have a new Elder Dragon! Say hello to the Gundoraja!
This is a completely new monster that we’re gonna face off in Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance. It kinda reminds me of the Narwha from Monster Hunter Rise, haha!
Anyway, the official trailer also showcases an older version of Nata, a sneak peek at the fights with Kushala Daora and Lao-Shan Lung, AND, some eerie-gooey Predator-esque critter that pops out of a monster carcass. I’m excited to see more this Tokyo Game Show! You can watch the whole trailer online.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation Drops April 8, 2027
Yeap. Final Fantasy VII Revelation finally has an official release date – April 8, 2027.
During the State of Play, PlayStation showcased a longer deep dive into the game’s combat and exploration. We see a bit more about the battle synergies between character, the new FITS system, flying across the world map with the Highwind, AND getting to drive Cloud’s Hardy Daytona.
On a side note, Sephiroth also shows up in Square Enix’s upcoming HD-2D Final Fantasy Resonance, haha! The demo is out now, if you want to give it try! 🙂
Gundam Rogue Orbit Lands March 5, 2027
I am not a sci-fi robot girlie. Not my thing. But finding out you can control a Gundam ala Armored Core has the wannabe Gundam pilot in me shookt. Gundam Rogue Orbit will be released on March 5, 2027, and it looks hella rad.
You get different weapon types, face off against actual alien enemies, AND get to customize your mecha. I can’t believe I might consider playing a robot game. HAHAHAHA. Here’s the official trailer.
Konami Unveils New Trailers for RPGs Rev. Noir and Rhapsody in Scarlet
Konami showcased two RPG trailers during State of Play.
Rev. Noir is an anime-esque, action game – “Upon being rescued by Finé, a young boy named Asch joins her on a journey to stop the lightfall, a catastrophe that kills all it touches. Little do they know what awaits them at the end of their mission to save the world… Defy cruel fate in this all-new RPG!” It’s coming next year, 2027!
On the other hand, Rhapsody in Scarlet is a 1920s-themed adventure title – “Set in the jazz-filled streets of 1920s New York, magus Ellie Myers embarks on a journey to confront a threat that could shake the world. Experience exhilarating combat and stack up combos with beasts and magick in this all-new action adventure game!” No release window for this game yet!
Lego PlayStation Set is Coming!
Not a video game announcement, but the moment I saw those Lego pieces and heard the iconic PlayStation startup sound, I KNEW IT!
The set will feature the original PlayStation controller, a working disc lid, and two stunning dioramas celebrating Gran Turismo and Ape Escape hidden inside the console. Plus, more easter eggs for true fans to discover.
There’s a bunch of other announcements like the complete Ghost of Yotei edition, the sequel Until Dawn 2: Choice, and some very stylized titles like Uncanyon, etc. But these were the ones that caught my eye. XD
