A new logo, a longer event time frame, and more to look forward to, Tokyo Game Show 2026 plans to celebrate its 30th anniversary is well underway. Let’s find out more of what they recently announced!
Tokyo Game Show 2026 30th Anniversary Theme

According to the Tokyo Game Show press release, the theme of 2026 is “The Longest Five Days of Nonstop Play.”
For the first time, the event will be held within a record-breaking five (5) days, from September 17 to 26, 2026, Thursday to the next Monday, at the same venue, Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan.
The exhibit is also celebrating its 30th anniversary this year! A new color scheme and logo was revealed during the press briefing, likely as a way to mark the milestone.
Additional Ticket Types & More Global Perspective

Some of the plans Tokyo Game Show is looking to implement this 2026 are adding more ticket types for both Business and Public days. More info about this will be coming soon.
The organizers are also looking to strengthen global promotions, adding more cities for overseas exhibitor briefings, etc. Additional campaigns to reach a broader global audience are likely to be seen more this year.
