Capcom has just launched Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, the expansion that takes the Arisen into the frozen north of Norgan.
This release also marks the series’ debut on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Dark Arisen Launches Across PS5, Xbox, Steam, and Switch 2
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen launched today, October 9, 2026, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2. On Switch 2, it arrives as a complete package that bundles the base game with all of the expansion content. You can check out the trailer to get a sneak peek!
Players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam can buy the Dark Arisen Expansion separately as DLC, though the base game is required to play it.
What to Expect from the Dark Arisen Expansion
The expansion summons the Arisen to Norgan, a long-abandoned region in the north, where they team up with the enigmatic Eir to uncover the secrets of the undying Fallen Dragon. Forgotten relics found along the way can be appraised to unlock new weapons and skills.
Capcom also packed in 12 Lost Rites Dungeon Challenges, trials set by the Pathfinder that reward rare equipment once held by past Arisen. New Character Creator options, including extra hairstyles and tattoos, round out the additions.
Filipino Creators Join the Rift as Official Pawns
A batch of regional creators joined Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen as Official Pawns, the summonable companions that fight alongside players. Filipino cosplayer and content creator Myrtle Sarrosa is among the new additions, lending her Pawn Myrtle Gail, a Fighter built for front-line defense and crowd control.
Alodia Gosiengfiao, another Philippine gaming icon, returns as the Sorcerer Pawn Alodia with a refreshed look and the Meteoron ultimate incantation.
The new lineup also includes BeastBoyShub (BBS) from India and Gssspotted (Mr.G) from Thailand, while HEARTROCKER (FrungFringZ) and The Jooomers (Rattlexnake) come back as upgraded veterans.
