The Triple-i Initiative came back for a surprise second showcase this 2026, and the recent stream was packed with back-to-back trailers from indie studios around the world.
Here are my top picks and faves from the show, and the release dates you might want to keep in mind!
Dave the Diver and Subnautica 2 Are Getting a Crossover

- Ocean Moon: Dave explores a mysterious ocean-covered moon where every strange creature is a new discovery.
- New Ingredients: Whatever Dave finds beneath the surface becomes a new ingredient for Bancho’s sushi bar.
- New Friends: The expansion also has Dave lending a hand to new characters along the way.
I have a copy of Dave the Diver, and maybe it’s time to boot it up, haha! Dave the Diver x Subnautica 2 launches in early 2027 on PC, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox.
You Play as Dracula in ReVamp

I’m a big fan of the people behind one of my fave indies, Moonlighter. And they’ve just revealed the release date for their upcoming castle-defense roguelite, ReVamp.
- Rule as Dracula: You are cursed to defend your throne for eternity, and the castle is yours to rebuild room by room.
- Command the Night: A legion of nightmarish creatures fights on your side.
- Repel the Mortals: Waves of invaders keep coming, and when your defenses falter, you step into the fray with melee attacks and blood techniques.
- Playtest Available: The first Steam playtest is open now.
ReVamp launches on March 25, 2027 on PC, with playtest sign-ups live now.
Risk of Rain 2 Returns to the Cult of N’Kuhana

- New Regions: Survivors fight through haunting new areas of Petrichor V.
- New Bosses and Enemies: Horrific additions that suit a cult of N’Kuhana.
- New Powers: Abilities that were never before possible in Risk of Rain 2.
I was obsessed with Risk of Rain 2 for a while, way back when. I’ll try to go back to it when I find the time. Hahahuhu.
Risk of Rain 2: Hallowed Concepts is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
Windrose Sails into Ashlands

- New Biome: A fresh stretch of the world to explore and survive in.
- New Quests, Armor, and Weapons: More gear and objectives to chase.
- A New Menacing Boss: Something big is waiting at the end of it.
Windrose’s Ashlands update is expected this winter on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, Stove, and Humble Store.
There’s a lot more from the showcase, but these are the ones I am personally keeping an eye on. You can browse the official Triple-i Initiative showcase page on Steam for the full showcase and the demos, if you want to know more! 🙂
