Petit Planet has been sitting on a winter window since August 2026, and HoYoverse has finally put a date on it. It arrives on PC and mobile this December, and as a free download, too!
Petit Planet – Release Date and Platforms
HoYoverse just announced that the official launch for Petit Planet is December 4, 2026, UTC+8. The game will be downloadable on PC via a standalone client or through Epic Games Store. Mobile versions through iOS through the App Store and Android through Google Play, will also be available.
The base game is free-to-play and pre-download begins on December 1, 2026, three days ahead of launch.
Pre-Registration Rewards and Milestones
As of now, pre-registration is still open, and the rewards scale with how many players sign up worldwide:
- Pre-register – Bestie Star-Light, a cosmetic light for your planet.
- 2,000,000 – Blissful Floral & Fruit Tea ×2.
- 4,000,000 – Red Star Firework ×2.
- 6,000,000 – Sweet Special ×2.
- 8,000,000 – Bazaar Jelly ×100.
- 10,000,000 – Sproutling Outfit.
Everything unlocks at launch as long as you log in, and past pre-registrations count toward the milestones. There is also a group angle: form a team of three and every member receives a guaranteed Archiboo top when the game goes live.
What the Pre-Launch Special Program Will Cover
Before launch, HoYoverse is running a Pre-Launch Special Program on November 1 at 7PM Philippine time (19:00 UTC+8), streaming on the official Petit Planet YouTube channel and on X through @PetitPlanetGame.
The development team and a special guest will walk through the opening stretch of the game, covering planet-building and how the Neighbors slot into daily life. Events, campaigns and a set of redemption codes are also on the agenda, so the stream is worth catching live rather than reading about afterward.
What is Petit Planet?
In HoYoverse’s galactic-themed life sim, you play as a Planet Tender who is handed a small world and the tools to reshape it.
Terrain, coastline and skies are all editable, with furniture and housing following the same customizability. Fuzzy Neighbors, each with their own personality and story, wander in from the Starsea looking for somewhere to settle.
Daily activities include farming, fishing, beachcombing, catching bugs and combining ingredients into recipes. Adventure comes in the form of exploring the Starsea, where you can gather materials and meet new Neighbors.
