Crunchyroll has announced that Sekiro: No Defeat will stream weekly as an eight-episode anime series beginning January 2027!
Eight Episodes, More Than the Theatrical Cut
The anime adaptation will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll worldwide, excluding Japan, China, Korea, Russia, and Belarus. The Philippines is not on that exclusion list, so the series will be watchable in the country.
The series expands on the theatrical version currently screening in Japan, with additional content beyond what cinema audiences saw. That run was originally planned for three weeks, and it has been extended because of popular demand.
Ahead of the streaming debut, Sekiro: No Defeat screened as part of Annecy’s Feature Films: Midnight Specials programme. The film also held its North American premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival.
The Sekiro: No Defeat Cast and Creative Team
Leading the Japanese voice cast are Daisuke Namikawa as Wolf, Miyuki Satou as Kuro, the Divine Heir, and Kenjiro Tsuda as Genichiro Ashina.
