Woah, Tokyo Game Show 2025 is just around the corner. And if, like me, you’re lucky enough to be going, here’s everything you could need to know about the event, AND MORE!
Tokyo Game Show 2025 – Venue, Tickets, & Opening Hours

Tokyo Game Show happens every year around the end of September in Japan. The four-day event is usually held across all halls of Makuhari Messe, which you can find in Mihama, Chiba City. It’s a ways away from the central city of Tokyo, so if you’re not planning to stay around the area, expect around 40mins – 1hour of travel time.
This 2025, Tokyo Game Show is happening from September 25 to September 28. September 25 – 26 are Business Days, while September 27 – 28 are Public Days. This means that only those with special passes can go during Business Days, while obviously Public Days are open to the public!
Ticket prices for Public Days start at JPY 3,000 (Php 1,200 or $21 USD). There are special Public and Business Days tickets, which you can view or purchase via the official site.
These are the following hours per day:
- Business Day: 9/25-26 10:00~17:00 JST
- Public Day: 9/27 9:30~17:00 JST | 9/28 9:30~16:30 JST
On-Ground & Online Schedule

A lot of things are happening side by side during the event, both online and offline. The organizers have already released a schedule, so you know what to expect. You can refer to the image above!
For those sitting at home, a lot of the big devs and publishing companies will have livestreams for their programs. But for those attending the event, you can actually go to the Main Stage or the specific booths to witness whatever these companies have planned for their audiences. 🙂
I’m kinda glad that most of the gaming livestreams are happening after-hours during TGS, so I most likely won’t miss any big news while going around the event halls. LOL. XD You can view the stage schedule here and event program here.
Tokyo Game Show 2025 – Exhibitor List & Map

Of course, the biggest hook of TGS is the list of exhibitor booths showcasing their titles and offerings. This year is no different with triple-A companies like Square Enix, Capcom, Bandai Namco, SEGA Atlus, Konami, and more exhibiting during the event.
TGS provides a full-blown map and exhibitor list on its official website, so it’s very convenient, even if you’re a first-time goer. Just be prepared to be overwhelmed because there’s a lot of things to see and hear. HAHA.

As you can see from the image above, a lot of the companies have already posted what their booths will look like, so that’s something to watch out for when you go! 🙂
Tokyo Game Show 2025 – Official Exhibitor Merch

If you’re like me, and you’re hunting for official game merch, Tokyo Game Show has a separate area for shopping! Located at Halls 9-11 of Makuhari Messe, you can spot a lot of different merch booths from your favorite devs!
Be sure to check the official map to spot their locations, and you can also use the official site to check their product line-up. Most of the booths are cashless, so be warned!
Official Merchandise & Food Items

We can’t forget that Tokyo Game Show changes its key visuals every year, which also applies to their official merchandise. Merchandise will always be good souvenirs and a great way to mark the occasion of going to such a big event. TGS always has an official merch list so you can prepare your wallet beforehand. HAHAHA!
You can also check the official map to see where the official merchandise selling booths are. Be warned that sometimes they sell out at the end of the day, but sometimes they restock early in the morning, so get them first thing!

For the first time EVER, Tokyo Game Show will be having collaboration food items with different companies like Sony, Capcom, Bandai Namco, Konami, etc. Unfortunately, they’ve made the experience feel like you’re in Disneyland because the locations where you can get these food items will be scattered around Makuhari Messe. So be sure to check out the official site if you’re on the hunt for these, haha!
Whew. Okay, that’s a lot of information. I hope it helps, huehue. Good luck, and maybe I’ll see you?? Who knows! XD
